Remembering Diane McDowell

We are deeply saddened to learn of the recent passing of P. Diane McDowell. Diane was a founding partner of our firm and retired from the practice of law at the end of 2012.

Diane was a role model, mentor and friend to many at the firm. She combined high professional standards with empathy and respect, and always carried herself with effortless grace and dignity. She was an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing and working with her.

Diane had a love of travel that took her to many parts of the world. Closer to home, during the summer months, she could often be found making her way from the office down to the harbour on a Friday afternoon to enjoy time on the water sailing.

Those of us fortunate enough to know Diane also witnessed her fierce loyalty and deep love for her family and friends. Once you were part of her circle, you never had reason to doubt her unwavering support.

Diane will be fondly remembered and deeply missed. We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.

May she rest in peace.
