About

Susan was called to the Ontario Bar in 2016 and joined Rogers Partners in 2024. Her civil litigation practice focuses on insurance defence matters. She has extensive experience defending a wide variety of claims, including automobile accidents (tort), occupiers’ liability, product liability, property damage, and construction losses. She also provides insurance coverage advice.

Prior to joining Rogers Partners, Susan practiced at a boutique law firm in downtown Toronto that specializes in insurance defence litigation. She completed her articles in the downtown Toronto office of a multi-national law firm, with an intensive rotation in its advocacy department.

Susan graduated from Queen’s University, where she was awarded multiple prizes for academic excellence in torts, contracts, and health law. She was also actively involved in the moot program, both as a participant and a student coach/researcher. After law school, she has regularly acted as a witness for an annual trial advocacy competition organized by the Advocates’ Society.
