Miranda Lacalamita is an associate at Rogers Partners LLP. Her practice focuses on civil litigation, with an emphasis on insurance defence. She brings a strong foundation to her work, developed through a range of practical experiences and a passion for clear, effective legal solutions.
Miranda completed her articling term at Rogers Partners following her graduation from Queen’s University Faculty of Law. During law school, she was actively involved in the Queen’s legal community, serving as Managing Editor of Business and Marketing for the Queen’s Law Journal, a caseworker at the Queen’s Family Law Clinic, and Co-Chair of Lawlapalooza, a student-led charity initiative. She also earned the Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP Entrance Scholarship and was a finalist in the Criminal Law Club 1L Moot.
Prior to law school, Miranda earned an Honours Bachelor of Applied Arts in Media Studies from the University of Guelph, graduating with distinction and specializing in Public Relations. She also received a diploma in Media Communications from Humber College. Her professional background includes a digital marketing internship with Universal Music Canada, where she created viral content and developed strategic communication plans for major artists.
Miranda is known for her strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving. She brings a multidisciplinary perspective to her legal practice, drawing on her communications background to effectively advocate for clients.
Outside the office, Miranda is a musician and singer-songwriter who plays piano, guitar, and ukulele. She is an avid film enthusiast and a regular at the Toronto International Film Festival, as well as a passionate reader of mystery novels.
