Jason Frost

Jason Frost is an insurance litigator. He particularly enjoys accident benefits, loss transfer and priority disputes, as well as providing strategic advice to clients on coverage, investigation, SIU and adjusting matters. He has a particular interest in using Examinations Under Oath for priority disputes and verifying entitlement to accident benefits as well as representing Insurers at the Licence Appeal Tribunal for statutory accident benefits disputes. He has many notable decisions from the FSCO, LAT, Superior Court, Divisional Court and Ontario Court of Appeal.

Jason is known for innovative approaches to priority and loss transfer disputes. He has argued many precedent setting decisions dealing with deflection, optional benefits, equitable relief, cross-border jurisdictional issues, regular use, transmission of force, spousal status, financial dependency and the fault determination rules.

Jason enjoys training with clients, mentoring junior lawyers and presenting at CPD events. In 2017, Jason was named an Exceptional Young Lawyer by Canadian Defence Lawyers. Since 2022, he has been named a Best Lawyer in Insurance Law by Best Lawyers.
