About

Angie Ortiz-Romero is an Associate at Rogers Partners LLP. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2026 after earning her Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa’s English Common Law Program.

Before joining Rogers Partners, Angie completed her articles at a Toronto litigation firm, where she gained hands-on experience in all stages of civil litigation, including Small Claims Court trials, legal research, and client advocacy. She also worked with the Centre for Health Law, Policy and Ethics and Pro Bono Students Canada, where she strengthened her research, advocacy, and client service skills while assisting individuals with a range of legal matters.

Committed to delivering exceptional client service, Angie prioritizes clear communication and approaches each file with careful preparation to provide practical, strategic advice to help clients resolve complex legal disputes. Angie is also fluent in Spanish.

During law school, Angie distinguished herself through competitive mooting, including a finalist finish in the LeClair Metaverse Moot, and through her involvement in the Canadian Hispanic Bar Association and the Women’s Legal Education & Action Fund. Angie remains actively involved with the CHBA and played a leading role in establishing the CHBA uOttawa Hispanic Law Student Scholarship, helping to support aspiring Hispanic law students and promote greater diversity within the legal profession.

Outside the office, Angie enjoys reading, dancing, trying new recipes, and playing volleyball with her family.
