Annie Levanaj articled with the firm before returning as an associate in 2022. Her practice in civil litigation involves defending insurers in areas including occupiers’ liability, motor vehicle negligence, municipal liability, and medical negligence.
Annie graduated from City, University of London where she was awarded the Dean’s Commendation for Subject Excellence in Contract Law, participated in mooting competitions, and was involved in three legal clinics as a caseworker. Annie obtained a Master of Laws degree from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law where she volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada as a caseworker and was a mentor and workshop coordinator for Law in Action Within Schools (LAWS).
Prior to law school, Annie earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto with a double major in Political Science and Criminology.
Throughout her legal studies, Annie took part in multiple initiatives geared towards promoting access to justice and helping disadvantaged communities including working as a legal researcher at a law firm exploring the access to justice problem and the role of artificial intelligence in providing solutions.
Outside of law, Annie’s hobbies include travelling, cooking, reading, spending time with friends and family, and running.
